TRAINING
Read the financial story before making the decision.
This programme is designed for people who use financial information without necessarily preparing the accounts. It develops a practical understanding of financial statements, performance comparisons and cash timing. The emphasis is interpretation, useful questions and the limits of the information presented.
Connect the main statements
Participants explore how income, expenditure, assets, liabilities and cash movements relate to one another. Worked examples distinguish profit from cash and show why a balance sheet is more than a list of bank balances. The level of detail is adapted to the audience and the decisions they face.
Question the reporting pack
Exercises examine assumptions, period comparisons and selected variances. Participants practise asking whether figures are final, comparable and supported by the appropriate records. The aim is informed dialogue with the finance team, not confidence based on memorised ratios alone.
Apply the learning responsibly
The programme can close with a practical review checklist for management meetings. Training examples are educational and do not constitute personalised investment, tax or legal advice. Any workplace follow-up is agreed separately, including the treatment of confidential company information.
Common questions
Is prior accounting study required?
The starting level is assessed before the session. An introductory programme can be arranged for participants without a finance background.
