GOVERNANCE

Prepare the evidence before the review begins.

Audit preparation helps management organise records and respond to a separately appointed auditor's information requirements. We can assist with schedules, reconciliations and document coordination under an agreed scope. Preparation support is distinct from performing an independent audit or issuing an opinion.

Translate requests into an organised file

We work from the relevant request list and identify the period, source and owner for each item. Missing information is tracked visibly. The file may include supporting schedules, explanations and references to underlying documents, with confidential material shared only through approved channels.

Resolve accounting questions appropriately

Items requiring a management decision or professional judgement are escalated rather than answered without authority. Any proposed accounting adjustment follows the agreed approval process. Where services create independence considerations for a possible assurance appointment, those considerations must be assessed before acceptance.

Support a clear handover

A coordinated file helps distinguish supplied evidence, pending items and questions awaiting response. Your management remains responsible for the records and representations provided. The appointed auditor determines the audit work and conclusions; preparation support does not promise a particular opinion or completion date.

Common questions

Does a well-organised file guarantee a clean audit opinion?

No. An audit conclusion depends on the auditor's work and findings, not the appearance or organisation of the evidence folder.
