Transfer information with a reconciliation plan.

Moving data is not the same as proving that it arrived correctly. Our migration support defines what will move, how it will be transformed and which checks will establish an acceptable result. The scope is agreed before production records are changed.

Decide what belongs in the new system

We consider master records, opening balances, outstanding transactions and historical detail separately. Not every archive needs to become live transactional data. Data quality issues, duplicates and unsupported fields are identified, with decisions assigned to the appropriate business owner.

Test the mapping and the totals

A rehearsal uses the agreed mapping and import method. Record counts, selected balances and sample transactions are checked against the source. Exceptions are recorded for correction. The treatment of pre-cut-off transactions is documented to reduce the risk of counting activity twice.

Protect the transition

The cut-over plan covers backups, access restrictions, the final extract and a rollback decision. Users confirm the agreed checks before the old process is retired. Retention and access to historical records are planned separately so that a successful import does not leave the business unable to retrieve its archive.

Common questions

Can migration remove all historical errors?

No. Data cleanup is a separate scope. Moving an unsupported balance into a new system does not make it reliable.
